Description
Gergana is a hybrid white wine variety obtained by crossing the Dimyat and Muscat Ottonel grape varieties. Tsarev Brod is the only Bulgarian winery to work with this grape variety. The grapes used for the wine are harvested in late September from our own vineyards near the town of Shumen. The wine ferments at a temperature of 16-18°C with red grape yeast to enhance the aromas. This wine is a part of our Bulgarian Series of wines that serve as ambassadors of our call for preservation of Bulgarian wine grape varieties. It matures on the lees for 7 months and is bottled in late May. It pairs well with aged cheese, seafood and fish.
