Description
Evmolpia is a Bulgarian grape variety, obtained by crossing the Merlot and Mavrud grape varieties. The grapes used for the wine are harvested in mid-September from our own vineyards near the town of Shumen. The wine ferments in small vessels, subject to continuous monitoring, and matures for 8 months in new French barrels of 400 l. This wine is a part of our Bulgarian Series of wines that serve as ambassadors of our call for preservation of Bulgarian wine grape varieties. It pairs well with red, non-spicy meat.
